But the good news is that there are a few easy methods you can use to store either whole aloe vera leaves or the gel.

How To Store Aloe Vera Leaf
Storing whole aloe vera leaves is simple. But first it’s important to drain out as much of the yellow aloin sap as you can.
To do this simply allow the leaf to drain for 15-30 minutes with the cut side facing down in a jar or cup. Then wipe or rinse away any remnants of it afterward.
I recommend wearing disposable gloves while handling the sap because it can be a skin irritant to some.
Storing Aloe Vera Leaf In The Fridge
Putting an aloe vera leaf in the fridge is a great way to keep it fresh longer. They will last for about 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator.
Storing Aloe Vera Leaf In The Freezer
Alternatively you could put your aloe vera leaf in the freezer for even longer-term storage. That way it will stay good for 6 months or more.

How To Store Fresh Aloe Vera Gel
Without any added preservatives, fresh aloe vera gel has a very short shelf-life of only 1-2 days. So it’s essential to store it in the refrigerator or freezer to make it last longer.

Refrigerating Fresh Aloe Vera Gel
If you want to store aloe vera gel in the fridge, simply pour it into a small mason jar or other sealed container to ensure it stays fresh.
